Friday Favorites: Skincare Edition!

Happy Friday, everyone!!

I get asked about skincare products all the time whether it’s about help for fine lines and wrinkles or what kind of face wash should you be using. I’m a skincare addict. I love the packaging, I love the smells, I have more moisturizers than anyone could use in a lifetime (probably). Today I’m here to talk about my five current skincare favorites and I’d love to share them with you!

5. Murad Nutrient Charged Water Gel

I have really really dry skin. It doesn’t matter what time of the year it is, it’s always dry. I have two other moisturizers in this list, but this particular gel I put around my eyes. I got this after a facial at Massage Envy before I had my son, Marshall, and the esthetician suggested this to ward off any stress lines that come with motherhood. I have an excellent baby, but even he can stress me out. I apply this around my eyes before bed and gently rub it into

my skin. So far so good! No wrinkles yet!

4. Mario Badescu Facial Spray

I love products that are multi-use and this facial spray definitely is. I’ll start by mentioning the different scents that this comes in and all of them are great. My favorites are the rose water and the lavender, but it also comes in an aloe scent as well as a citrus scent. I use this to refresh my skin before makeup and I also use it to set my makeup afterwards. One thing that is Absolutely essential as a makeup artist is a quality setting spray that holds up to heat, tears, humidity, etc and this does it all. I also love the prices! A travel size is $7.00 and a full size is $12.00 and the best part is that a little goes a long way so you’re not constantly blowing through product. Highly recommend!

3. Glow Recipe Watermelon Pink Juice

As I said previously, my skin is DRY. I use this moisturizer daily both for myself and on my clients. I get lots of compliments about how good this moisturizer smells as well! The packaging is adorable and a little goes a long way with this product as you only need a pea-sized amount for your entire face. This lays on skin well prior to makeup application and doesn’t mess with how well makeup stays. Even if I’m not planning on wearing makeup that day I will still apply this moisturizer before I do anything. Glow recipe makes a lot of quality skincare products in the Watermelon line that I suggest as well! This product is on the pricey side at $21.00 for .85 oz, but you don’t go through it fast so in my opinion it’s well worth it.

2. C-esta Cleansing Gel by Jan Marini

This is another product that my esthetician recommended to me after my facial. I had been looking for a good face cleanser for a while but I couldn’t find anything that was not harsh on my skin. He showed me this product that he used on me during my facial and I took the chance, and bought it that day. Most days I’ll wash my face like normal and move on, but some days I’ll apply a layer of the cleanser and gently lather it using my Clarisonic and then I will use a rough wash cloth to exfoliate with in place of using an actual exfoliant. This method is so much easier on my skin and does not dry it out as bad as using an exfoliating product. Again, this product is a little pricey at $38.00, but it works for me!

1. Laneige Lavender Water Sleeping Mask

This is my ride or die skincare product. My #1. This nightly moisturizer transformed my skin in a couple of weeks. I love a product that I can put on and go to bed with. I started using the original but switched to the lavender when they put it on the market recently. The scent is so relaxing and the mask itself feels so smooth and refreshing. It retails for $25.00 but comes with a huge amount of product that includes 2.3 floz. It takes me forever to go through this jar, but that’s what I love about this nightly moisturizer! 10/10 highly recommend.

I hope this list helps you find some new products to try or maybe helps you decide to take the leap if you’re on the fence about a skincare product. I love all of these and use them often! Please let me know if you try any of these and if they work for you!

xoxo Kenzee
